Meet the Sisters

Leah, Quincy, KJ, Linden, Baxter, and Beth: The Global Sistergoods team!

Sisters. Moms. Entrepreneurs.

Yes, we really are sisters! We grew up in Phoenix, AZ in a family of women—six girls (and one boy). We’re the last of the bunch, number six and seven. We were very close. After moving to different states for college, and different continents for work, we both ended up in Portland, Oregon. For a while we lived together (with four dogs, four cats and a husband each) in a huge green house. Now we live about two miles away from each other and spend a lot of time being simultaneously amazed and exhausted by our children.

We started Global Sistergoods in 2005 as a way to work together on a meaningful project, and quickly realized its unlimited potential to positively impact the lives of women. Now Global Sistergoods has grown from project to full time passion. We truly feel a kinship our artisan partners. Like us, they are sisters, mothers and entrepreneurs.

Leah joined us in 2007 after an intensive interview in which we asked her to tell us a joke. Her somewhat ribald answer convinced us she’d fit right in, and we were right.

Our kid-friendly (read: chaotic) office is in the St. John neighborhood in north Portland. If you’re in the neighborhood, stop by for a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. We’d love to meet you in person!

Love, KJ and Beth
